LITTLE GIRL X

Loosely based on the true story of a young girl found slain on the southside of Chicago on July 27th, 1998, LITTLE GIRL X is told in three parts that intersect the lives of the victim and her murder suspects on the day she was killed.

THE WALKERS

THE WALKERS is what happens when racism meets cannibalism. A black woman, Vanessa, is kidnapped by the Walkers, a white married couple who dabbles in cannibalism for fun. What happens when they've met their match? Who will win the game of race?

MASON

If any work describes the tone of Sharena's work, it would be MASON. It tells the story of a pregnant woman who struggles with her sanity when she realizes the hallucinations that she's been having are visions of the murders her unborn son will commit in the future.

Youth Education

Chicago Filmmakers Youth Camp

Sharena Sigmon aspires to assist children, teens and college undergraduates in expressing themselves through art. As a Teacher's Assistant at Chicago Filmmakers, she experienced her passion by being hands-on in helping to produce short films with teens and youths of all ages. As a Graduate Assistant at Northwestern, she taught Undergraduates the techniques of writing a short screenplay and gaining a passion for their own voice.

She looks forward to working with more students of all ages and inspiring them to recognize their greatness.
